Marketing and Communications Committee
The Alberta Lacrosse Association (ALA) seeks dedicated individuals to join its Marketing and Communications Committee. This committee will play a vital role in enhancing the ALA's visibility, reputation, and overall impact through strategic marketing, sponsorship, and communications efforts.
We want to build a committed team to help promote ALA’s programs, events, and core values, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and sponsors.
Committee Purpose
The Marketing and Communications Committee is responsible for developing and executing initiatives that support the ALA’s mission and long-term goals. This includes strategic oversight of marketing campaigns, sponsorship development, and communications aimed at reaching diverse audiences across Alberta.
Committee Responsibilities
Marketing Oversight:
Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing strategies to effectively promote the ALA’s brand, programs, and initiatives.
Sponsorship Management:
Identify, negotiate, and manage sponsorship opportunities aligned with ALA’s mission and values to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
Publications Development:
Oversee the creation and distribution of newsletters, reports, and promotional materials, ensuring quality content and adherence to ALA branding.
Development Initiatives:
Lead or support efforts focused on growth and sustainability, including community outreach, fundraising, and partnership-building.
Meeting Requirements:
The committee will meet at least three (3) times per year, or more frequently as needed, at the chair's discretion.
*The Chair will submit all meeting minutes and supporting documentation to the ALA Board of Directors as part of the official board meeting package.
Call for Members: Development and Recruitment Committee
The Alberta Lacrosse Association (ALA) seeks passionate and committed individuals to join its Development and Recruitment Committee. This committee is a key part of ALA’s efforts to grow and strengthen the sport of lacrosse across the province.
We are looking to build a team that will lead strategic initiatives focused on recruiting, training, and retaining players, coaches, and officials in box and Field lacrosse.
Committee Purpose
The Development and Recruitment Committee is tasked with supporting the long-term growth of lacrosse in Alberta by implementing effective strategies to attract new participants and develop a strong, sustainable foundation for the sport. This includes enhancing recruitment efforts and improving training pathways across all disciplines.
Committee Responsibilities
Player Recruitment:
Develop and oversee strategies to attract new players to Box and Field lacrosse, ensuring accessibility, diversity, and growth across all age groups and regions.
Coaching Resources Development:
Create and share technical coaching materials that improve training methods, skill development, and overall coaching quality.
Coach Recruitment and Retention:
Lead efforts to recruit, train, and retain qualified and motivated coaches, fostering excellence and consistency in player development.
Officials' Recruitment and Training:
Manage the recruitment, training, and retention of officials to maintain a high standard of officiating and support the continued success of lacrosse in Alberta.
Liaison with Officials:
Act as the main point of contact between the ALA and the officiating community, promoting open communication and collaborative improvement.
Official Selection Approval:
Guided and supported the process for approving officials selected to represent Alberta at national and international events, ensuring selection based on merit and established performance standards.
Meeting Requirements:
