Blaine Raine



Blaine has been around lacrosse for 33 years, as a player and coach in both Field and Box lacrosse. He
played NCAA Division 1 Lacrosse at Canisius University in Buffalo New York. Blaine also played with the
Edmonton Outlaws Sr.B lacrosse Club. Winning Provincial Championships from 1995-2003, and winning
The President’s Cup in 2002 and Bronze in 2003. Blaine Coached Team Alberta U15 and U18 Males Field
lacrosse teams in 2020 and 2019 respectively Both times winning Bronze. He also was an assistant coach
for U17 Team Alberta Males that won bronze at the Canada Summer Games in 2022. Blaine also was
selected as the Head coach for the U19 Female Team Alberta Box lacrosse in 2020 North American
Indigenous Games (NAIG) which was canceled due to Covid, and 2023 NAIG, winning Bronze. I am
currently the Defensive coach for the Beaumont Jr.B Outlaws. I had the honor of coaching the U22
Female Team Alberta that won the National Championships and looking forward in competing for
another the National Championship.
Being Indigenous and serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, I like to bring that experience and knowledge and
tie that into my coaching philosophy. At the same stressing development in all aspects of lacrosse.
