Kevin Dostie


Kevin’s lacrosse journey began playing minor lacrosse in Windsor Ontario for the Warlocks. Kevin was drafted by the Jr A Sarnia Pacers where he played two seasons. To finish off his Junior lacrosse, he joined the Jr B Wallaceburg Red Devils, where he went on to play for three years capping off his junior career winning the 2001 Founders Cup. After Junior, Kevin was drafted by the Peterborough Lakers, where he would win the 2004 Mann Cup. He finished playing Sr A lacrosse in 2010 after having stops in Nanaimo, St Regis and Victoria. Kevin played his final year of Sr lacrosse in 2011 for the Kahnawake Mohawks. After missing the game for over ten years, Kevin made a return to play for the Sr B Knights in Alberta.
Kevin attended SUNY Canton University from 1998-2000 where he was selected as a second team all American in 2000.
Kevin was drafted by the Ottawa Rebel of the NLL in 2001. He continued to play in the NLL until 2010, playing for the Calgary Roughnecks(2004-2006) and the Buffalo bandits (2006-2010). He won the Champions Cup with Calgary in 2004 and Buffalo in 2008.
Kevin began coaching in 2022 with the RVLA (Rockyview Lacrosse Association). This summer Kevin will be coaching two teams in RVLA as well as getting involved in the women’s game coaching U11 for the Calgary Fury.
Kevin hopes to spread his knowledge of the game and pay it forward to the youth playing in Alberta.
